TELESCOPIC VANG

Description

This is a compact mechanical system which replaces the classic vang and topping lift features. The telescopic vang body already possesses an internal reduction between 3:1 and 5:1 depending on the model.

In conjunction with an external tackle, it provides even more power, with relation up to 40:1, making it a viable and cost effective alternative to hydraulic systems. The stainless steel spring allows the boom to be positioned at ideal height substituting the topping lift.

This facilitates reefing manoeuvres, eliminating the need for additional operation. The telescopic vang is made from hard anodized Teflon® coated aluminium. It is available in 4 sizes for boats between 8 to 16 metres (24 to 55 ft). The hardware for mounting the vang on the boom and mast, as well as external tackles are sold separately.
